The Project

Jaidah Square is where business and leisure converge. Where your office space reacts and changes according to your business needs. It is a striking architectural accomplishment that fuses traditional modern design elements to create a unique addition to Qatar’s fast-growing skyline. 

The initial concept given to the Woods Bagot team was to build an inversion of the ordinary. Employing the experience gained from their work on Qatar Foundation’s Science and Technology Park, Woods Bagot created the building’s primary plan by approaching the space of metamorphosis of contemporary and traditional motifs.

MZ & Partners further cultivated the building’s visual aesthetic by overseeing the architectural mapping and employed their expertise to serve as consultants of record.

United Designers were responsible for distilling the building’s concept into specific elements that adhered to Jaidah Group’s governing vision; a desire to reengineer the expected. They began by researching traditional Qatari and Islamic architecture, and discovered elements such as Naqsh panels and geometric patterning, which were modernised and placed into a motif that has been incorporated into the building and landscaping.

Currently White Young are managing all aspects of the project’s development.
